John Arne Riise’s little Brother Bjorn has signed for Fulham on a 3 year deal. The midfielder has moved to the Cottagers from Norwegian side Lillestrom. He will join fellow Norwegians Erik Nevland and Brede Hangeland in the white part of south London. Of course Fulham gaffer Roy Hodgson knows plenty about Scandinavian football, he was manager of Viking Stavanger in Norway and of Örebro SK and Malmo of Sweden. Bjorn Helge Riise has played 16 times for Norway at the age of 26 and had been at Lillestrom since 2005. Before that he played at Standard Liege in Belgium. Fulham fans will be hoping that he can take free kicks like his brother but not have a knack for spectacular own goals!

Quick – all those Americans are gone, let’s pick another country…
You might be shocked to learn I did not exactly take that own goal above in stride when it happened.
@Georger – I’m assuming that you immediately yelled “Fire Rafa!”
No but there were many Andres Escobar references made.
