UF Quick Throw: Sven’s Revolution Gathers Pace.

Sven Goran Eriksson’s Notts County League Two revolution is gathering some serious momentum. Not only are the Magpies top of the table after scoring 13 goals and conceding just 2 after 4 games, they are about to sign a former England defender.

Sol Campbell is in talks to head to Meadow Lane. Other signings this season include Kasper Schmeichel and Lee Hughes.

Wow Kasper Schmeichel has fallen pretty far from grace, he got screwed over by City.

  2. phil

Sol Campbell? Never heard of him. Is he new?

  3. phil

It wasn’t a good joke to being with, an careless punctuation makes it delete-worthy. Oh, for the days of blogger comments, when I could bury my mistakes.

  4. phil

Holy s**t. It’s like I’m typing with my thumbs.

  5. @Phil – seems fine to me.

  6. Georger

Rest assured, I saw the error before it was fixed, so keep on with the keepin’ on and climb the rafter.

Bad seeing Sol fall this far down, those 34-35 year old legs catching up to him unfortunately. player-coach role is a good deal though

speaking of old, washed up Arsenal defenders…Sylvinho just signed for citeh. I foresee them signing Kanu any day now

  9. phil

I think the new Citeh strategy is just to buy all the players. Then we can just watch Citeh A vs. Citeh B every Saturday in the La Serie Liga A Premier Eredivisie BundesLeague. How exciting it will be!

    @ NYK: Thanks.

@ Georger: I’ll leave my “Keane 10″ shirt to you in my will.

It’s not too far fetched. How many Americans freak the f**k out about college football spring scrimmages where the team plays itself?

  12. Lingering Bursitis

And honestly, several spanish teams do have their B sides in the lower divisions, if I remember correctly. Or is it Italian?

Either way, there’s a precedent somewhere

  13. Norfolk Ned

Yes LB Spain. Barcelona B play in th second.

  14. spectator

@LB – It’s Spain. And not so far-fetched to happen in the English leagues once the European Super League starts up in 2019.

  15. Georger

I seem to remember Rafa suggesting that the reserves should be playing in the Championship, or something along those lines.

SGE has been playing too much FM.

Some douche just said on Sportscenter: “Hey! Looking for a Premiership team to follow? How about Tottenham?!”

Between SC and Simmons, I think tWWL has a vested interest in Spurs.

  17. Did they pronounce it “Tot-Ten-Ham”?

  18. phil

@ NYK: Of course. Idiots. Have the Prem on American TV is great, but the ESPN’ing of footy is not.
