Jozy Altidore’s Duck Breaker

As we all know, Jozy Altidore scored his first goal in his first start for Hull City earlier this week in a 3-1 victory over Southend United in Carling Cup play.  As the English like to say, he broke his duck.  Jozy probably still has a duck to break in League play so maybe he will get that this weekend.

Anyway, finding video of the goal has been tough, but here it is. Enjoy.

What can you tell me about Kevin Anin, from recently relegated Le Havre? He’s apparently in at N17 for a trial.

I’m now wishing horrendous things up Villa this season.

I know they are only playing Palace, but City is looking pretty damn good so far in the second half. Cutting holes right through Palace.

Blessing in disguise for Villa. Less matches for the already thin squad to get hurt in and focus on league.

  11. On August 27, 2009 @ 18:04 Keith says:

Yeah, Attic, but I’d rather O’Neill go for some trophies than a spot in an aribtrary top number. Until the side’s good enough to really challenge year in, year out as part of that top 4, I’d take finishing in 7th, hell, even 8th if it meant that Villa won 2 of the UEFA, League and FA cups.

@phil – I have literally never heard of the dude, but FranceFootball has him having played 25 matches last season when they were in Ligue 1, with 2 goals.

L’Equipe mentions that when Le Havre were relegated, Bordeaux made some inquiries about about gaining his services. Their (very brief) article from today claims that Spurs want a loan with option to buy, which Le Havre is not interested in, so the deal is still in negotiation for now.

@NYK: Thanks! I guess he’s meant to be a holding midfielder of some sort. ‘Arry surely wants some cover for Palacios, who will doubtlessly miss time for card accumulation or injury this season, but a 23 YO Frenchman doesn’t seem like ‘Arry’s style.
