Dunne's wife wears the pants.

Football agents are usually smarmy, slimy gits who will ship  a player off to Timbuktu or hide in their Mercedes to save themeselves from the wrath of angry fans. Well that’s the normal image of Mr. 10% right? Well not when it comes down to new Aston Villa defender Richard Dunne. He wanted a goodbye kiss from Manchester City, so his wife puckered up.

Richard Dunne’s wife is the one wearing the trousers at Dunne Towers and when it came time for her man to move on, she did the talking.

After nine years service, still under contract and a year away from a money spinning testimonial, Dunne’s missus knew her chap was due a gift from Man City if they wanted him to leave for Villa. She also knew that her fella had not requested a transfer during his time there, activating a loyalty bonus.

Helen Dunne shunned Mr. 10% and did all the negotiating herself. Apparently she was after 6 million smackers from City but settled for 2 mil. Still, that’s some pretty nice new pots and pans (I kid, I kid).
