Quite frankly I don’t see how someone who doesn’t appear to have much respect for Polish football and clearly doesn’t watch it has any means for adding their two cents to the issue. You hit some bigger notes, like Leo was the first non-Polish coach, he got them to Euro 2008, etc. I don’t see you having regular updates about the state of Polish Football. In that case, I don’t really take anything you say to heart. I see it is a chance for you to jab at a country that’s on the down side for now. I’d be shocked to ever see a report of something positive on Polish football ever appearing on your site. You can’t pick between Leo or the PZPN if you’re not going to get into the real business of what happened. Nothing against Leo, but why wasn’t he speaking out about this stuff before he got fired/quit? There’s more to this story.

@Mi, you just don’t have the quality at the moment in my eyes. As for Slovakia, they have some super players coming through. Making a tournament (08) doesn’t always confirm you are better than the teams in your next qualifying group. The fact you got to Euro 2008 was testement to Beenhakkers coaching. Beenhakker is proven at getting underachieving sides to punch well above their weight. See T&T. While you are entitled to want a new man, who might that be?

Well, Norfolk Ned, have you seen the game against Slovenia? Or the one against Northern Ireland? Sure we haven’t got a great team, we haven’t got international stars. But we have got enough players to successively compete in a group with powers like, with all due respect, Slovakia and Slovenia. The fact we could not compete with both of them means the coach did a very poor job and deserved his fait, nothing you can do about that and making a fuss about this is meaningless.
