Capello Finds Jose’s Button

RAAAAAOOOOOOOFFF

RAAAAAOOOOOOOFFF

Jose Mourinho has claimed that England coach Fabio Capello knows ‘nothing about football’. The ridiculous rant came ahead of  Inter’s Champions League showdown with Barcelona today. The absurd comments were in response to an interview Capello gave last week when he stated that Inter “had to” win the CL this year. Inter last won the top prize in Europe in 1965.

“In this Champions League, there are a lot of teams who have already got a settled team like Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal. Then there is Inter, who have a big squad but the team is still under construction…Whoever says that Inter ‘have’ to win the Champions League knows nothing about football, and in the place of ‘nothing’ I could use much stronger words.”- Jose Mourinho.

I guess Capello should keep his mouth shout when it comes to Italian football. He clearly has no place talking about a league that he has won just SEVEN times and a trophy he lifted in 1994 as coach of Inter’s rivals AC Milan. Mourinho also won the Champions League at Porto in 2004.

Capello’s dig may have been inspired because of his time with Inter’s neighbors, but was it worth getting into a rabid nonsense frenzy over? It certainly appears the usually cool and collected Jose Mourinho has an easy button after all.  I particularly liked the comment about having a squad ‘still under construction’. Get those excuses out there early hey Jose?

  1. Jose has a button? Did he smuggle heroin in it?

  2. Still under construction? What is Inter, a South African World Cup stadium or something?
