Life is difficult for Roy Keane at the moment. The weekend came and went with yet another heart-breaking late defeat, this time in the 99th minute (or close to it) from the penalty spot away at Barnsley. For those keeping track at home, that’s 11 games without a win for Ipswich Town to open the season, and this brave BBC microphone-holder had the temerity and the tenacity to ask him the obvious question.
Kudos to any of you if you can survive the subsequent smoldering death glare from the ex-United midfielder:
There were murmurs last week about the Ipswich board giving him the dreaded vote of confidence (which, as we’ve studied on the blog before, often puts you on the fast track to the unemployment line), but he’s playing it “cool” and showing no sign of leaving the Portman Road hot seat any time soon.
And good for him, too. Because it worked out so well at the Stadium of Light, and all.

Why did you cut it out before they got a chance to talk about Cardiff? I need to hear about Cardiff!!! I gotta Championship fever, and the only prescription is more Cardiff.
Ahem. I can’t wait to see Ned got all excited about Norfolk-Ips-them next year in League 1.
