Do they not pay well at Aston Villa or something?
Following on nicely from the Jose Baxter/cannabis story, we get the tale of Isaiah Osbourne, a 21-year-old midfielder who was arrested on “suspicion of conspiracy to rob”.
I don’t know about you, but that sounds rather ridiculous when you parse it out. Did he rob anyone, or just think about robbing someone? And did they arrest him thinking that he was thinking about robbing someone?
I guess it’s semantics like this that have made me a blogger and not a lawyer. Regardless, Mr. Osbourne has a ways to go before his antics match that of Bradley Wright-Phillips or even Mr. Baxter.
Aston Villa have said they’re aware of the incident but are refusing to offer further comment.
Where’s Georger when you need him? He’s a lawyer or in law school or something…
