Uruguay hosts Argentina on Wednesday in a “winner-takes-all” qualifier. I feel a “South American Football is Crazy” post arriving early Thursday morning.
The finishes involving Ecuador, Uruguay and Argentina on Saturday weren’t crazy enough?
The Argies just need a draw (unless Ecuador can pull out a 6-goal margin of victory). Uruguay NEED a win though as they probably have to assume Ecuador will get something against a Chilean side that’s already qualified.
But I am actively scouting for places Wednesday in Chicago where Argies go to watch football.
Oh they were crazy. Forlan impressed with his calm penno. I’m just saying, the crazy will be heightened between these two teams and their respective support. Regardless of what happens on the pitch, there has to be rampages, stabbings, and general mayhem before/during/after the match. Especially after the match, probably by whatever side wins.

The U.S. and Mexico also both qualified, no? I mean, if you’re going to mention Chile…
My favorite part about this type of recurring gaffe is that it took the entire staff to f**k it up, evidently.
not as bad as a report i saw on sports illustrated.com, which said bolivia qualified for the world cup by beating brazil
To be fair, Bolivia is within 10 points of an automatic qualifying spot.
