It was only yesterday when Ian McParland was given his walking papers as manager at Notts County. My (and I’m sure most folks) first thoughts was that Sven-Goren Ericksson would slide into the manager’s spot. Seems like poor Sven has had to declare his non-intentions in this situation.
The rumours swirling around The Magpies is that the club is offering 10 million pounds to Roberto Mancini to become their new manager. After being sacked in 2008 from Inter to allow for the ‘creative genius’ Jose Mourinho, he has been linked to many clubs, but no one willing to bite. This is a loooong drop from the top of Serie A (and the Champions League) to League Two. Is Mancini this toxic? Or are people unpleased with Italian managers in English Leagues in general?
