Another week gone, another week closer to that inevitable last minute Christmas shopping.But, lookee here, Wal-Mart is starting its Black Friday sales early. If want some cheap LCD TVs or Blu-Ray players head over to Wal-Mart tomorrow morning with the masses. 

I’m filling in for Ned this week as he is taking care of Bigus, Jr. (poor lad’s father is gone). It was tidy little week here at UF. 

The world welcomed England’s Dirk Kuyt junior into the world, aka Kai.  Louis Nicollin was not so welcoming of the gays.  Neither was this Polish goalkeeper.

UF was introduced to the craziness that is Bulgarian soccer. And then again. 

Stan Kroenke bought more of Arsenal, and even more. While Reds fans wished somebody would buy Liverpool from the Americans as the injury tally mounts as well as the losses.

Newcastle sold its stadium naming rights to its owner’s company. So, Chelsea naturally thought it would jump on the bandwagon. And the CAS obliged Chelsea in lifting the transfer ban so they can spend the sponsorship money. And, the Football Association of Thailand got a 545,000 pound sponsorship from McDonald’s. That’s pounds as a measure of money and not weight.

The Spanish government is contemplating eliminating one advantage La Liga has over other leagues.

Elizabeth Lambert showed us all how to be a really gritty defender. Then she was suspended for doing so.
