Dude, Where’s My Car?

Christ, My car is missing!
Christ, My car is missing!

Albania’s chief export may be chrome, but it apparently also has a nice import business going in stolen cars.

Meelan midfielder, Italian national, pseudo tough guy, but maybe the best singer of any national anthem on the planet Gennaro Gattuso can attest to the latter.

Gattuso’s Range Rover, which was stolen in Milan back in November 2006, has just turned up in the Albanian capital of Tirana. From Goal: “DPA reports that the Albanian police arrested a man after noticing the powerful SUV he was driving was reported as stolen. After checking their database, they discovered it belonged to the Italian footballer.”

The vehicle was impounded pending further investigation. Gattuso probably has no use for the recovered vehicle as it’s generally considered gauche for a top flight footballer to drive anything over 18 months old. Plus, it’s been in Albania.
