Fergie’s 3 Million Quid Gardener

Obertan likes to prune.

Obertan likes to prune.

When winger Gabriel Obertan sealed a dream move from Bordeaux to Manchester United I bet he thought he had it set: 20 large a week and all the fame that goes with being part of the Man U juggernaut.

Well, not wanting the lad to develop a head the size of Ronaldo’s, United decided to turn Obertan into the training ground gardener and general handy man. While injured, Obertan’s duties including watering the flowers, pruning the roses and washing cars.

Apparently the French under-21 star actually enjoyed his new job, if you believe the Sun’s ’sources’. Fergie does like to keep his young players grounded, Bryan Gunn used to baby sit Ferguson’s kids at Aberdeen.

Welcome to the big leagues kid. I wonder if Fergie had him run out for gum?

If anything, this will help prepare him to win the All-Valley Karate Tournament.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the alleged penny pinching going on at Old Trafford thanks to the Glazers.

@ NYK: In truth, “pruning the roses” is OT slang for shaving Giggs’ back.

@Phil: I just threw up in my mouth a little.
@MH: Fuck Mangini. That game on Monday was the most pathetic performance from an NFL team I’ve ever seen.

@phil – I’m not speaking to you today. You know why.

@NYK: Fair enough. Just remember, after today, we can once again be united by our hatred for the English.

@Goat: Bradly Quinn ought to be beaten with rods for that cheap shot. Even if it was on one of the premier cheap shot artists in the league.

Did you hear that the NFLPA is starting an investigation Mangini’s handling of players, particularly in practice?

@Phil @NYK good to see sworn enemies getting together to loathe a common foe…. me.

Pot/kettle on that Brady Quinn shot. Know what else was a cheap shot? Moving your whole team because you failed to get in on the stadium renovation that saw the Indians and Cavs get new digs two years earlier. Any cheap shot against the Ravens from now on is fine by me.

    Although, also…fuck Mangini.
