Maybe It Is Big Enough for My Foot?
Yeah, we’re going pun today. What of it?
After pulling all of 1 point from the two matches against Russia’s favorite choreographer Rubin Kazan, FC Barcelona find themselves in almost a must-win situation if they want to defend their European crown. There’s just one hiccup… no wait, two.
Two hic… Hold on.
Three. There are just three little hiccups. Oh and and they aren’t little.
First, the H1N1 Pig AIDS has hit the Camp Nou, leaving them without Eric Abidal and Yaya Toure. Second, both Lionel Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are dealing with injuries. And, oh yeah, the Special One is bringing other group favorites Inter Milan to Catalonia.
And because it’s Mourinho we a couple of tasty pregame comments.
Exhibit A: “I prefer to play a game that is going to be very difficult than a game that is going to be too easy for us. A Chelsea versus Liverpool for me is better than a Chelsea versus Birmingham – games worry me more when there is a question about getting the players motivated.” Ummm… He does know he doesn’t manage Chelski anymore, doesn’t he?
Exhibit 2: “I have a debt to Barça but I want to beat them with all my soul every time I play them.” Please, everyone knows the Special One obviously has no soul.

Did you mean “Please, everyone knows the Special One obviously has no soul?”
Or does the Special One got soul, although he not’s a sold–never mind.
Oops. Corrected.
Also, if our favorite choreographer beat Dynamo Kiev and Inter win in Spain, Barça are out.
I hope the ban on Hoobastank extends to The Killers.
I have this love/loathe relationship with Mourinho. When he says something about “beating [insert opposition] with his soul” it makes me love him.
Stockholm Syndrome, no doubt.
Well, the way Rubin are playing at the moment, I can’t see them winning. Who knows, though. It’s snowing!
MCR, given what those initials might spell, I don’t know if you are authorized by FIFA to give quoting directives
/Gerard Way looks like Billy Corgan
//But wishes he were a quarter as talented
If it makes you feel any better, they’re my initials, and I am constantly filled with shame by association. My tastes in music run more towards fusion jazz and progressive music of most strains.
Also, I don’t even know who Gerard Way or Billy Corgan are. My finger is far from the pulse of society.
Billy Corgan will smash your pumpkin for that.
He’s the pasty bastard who is the brains of the Smashing Pumpkins and Zwan.
Well, I’ve heard maybe three Smashing Pumpkins songs. Like I said, far from the pulse of society. I avoid radio whenever possible.
Kazan and Kiev danced to a nil-nil draw in the frozen tundra. That puts them level with Inter on points and one ahead of Barca.
If Barca goes out, it increases the chances of Roman Ambramovich getting his favorite trophy. On the other hand, it means Barca is out. I guess I’m torn.
