That fsc HD link is like an early Christmas present. Or maybe a late Christmas present since we don’t get it until next year. But we know about it now. Which is it? Early or late Xmas present?
it’s good news since I’ve been kinda talking about it non-stop on saturdays — it’s hard to watch the game on espn2 then click over to fsc, while the picture quality has gotten better over the years (I remember when you could barely make out the score at the top), it’s night and day with the espn2 feed.
Directv told me recently they’re adding a bunch of new hd channels in early 2010 – they told me exactly how many, but who remembers? So here’s to hoping this is one
I have to give you a quick primer about that Toronto ‘celeb’ game.
I dare you to go to any canadian city not named Toronto and ask 10 people on the street who ‘Rivers Coumo, Brendan Canning from Broken Social Scene and Michael Cera being Michael Cera’ are and you will get a blank stare.
THere is no such thing as canadian culture, its actors are all working in hollywood, there is almost no made in canada tv except reality concepts for morons like Can you Dance and Idol karaoke contests, radio is mainly american and the few canadian acts that you hear are Celine like pop blandness or generic Nickeldouche.
There is only one sports league in the whole country. One league for 35 million people.
And like in most one trick countries, people in the rest of Canada despise Toronto no matter if the english national media (about 1/3 of the country speaks french) try to make people believe that what is good for Toronto shoudl somehow matter to people living a thousand kilometres away.
As a canadian, I can safely say ‘who gives a f***’?, which is just the exact reply 3 people just gave me when I sent them the link.
There you have it folks. Don’t open that link.
