Quick Throw: Pompey No-Pay Day

Another month, another round of IOUs issued to some of Portsmouth’s players in lieu of actual monetary payment. In other words: meet the new boss / same as the old boss.

They’re saying that money was borrowed back in September to cover the wages, but it’s all rather unconvincing dog-and-pony-show antics from an owner purported to be worth lots and lots of money. Apparently the bulk will be paid tomorrow, and the rest “over the next few days”.

Cheer up, Pompey players. Just 28 days until you can hand in your transfer papers.

    Leeds United here we come!

Is there really anyone worth a damn on that team anymore? Maybe James for a team that could use some veteran keeping, but other than that?

I’d take Jamie O’Hara, I guess. Oh, and Aruna Dindane. I mean, why not? If we’re gonna litter the squad with inconsistent strikers, might as well throw another on the pyre.

Only to solve this fiscal issue: Quick! Throw Avram to Pompey.

But isn’t Dindane on loan, JT? So they’re totally screwed.

Ive seen them play, few of them deserve to play.

Should they do like in north america where leagues by failing teams? That always seems to work… well…
