So when we come across bloggable stuff, we have a really informal process for assigning it. In fact, we don’t assign it at all. The link kind of just sits there until someone chimes in to claim it. We probably bat about .700 in successful claim-to-posts.
Rather than simply let the possible but unposted post fade into oblivion, this week (and maybe this week alone), I’m passing on abbreviated mentions of things I failed to blog about, primarily because people at my job can’t make up their minds and it makes my job crappier and robs me of the time I spend dodging my work reponsibilities. This won’t be a regular feature. What would have entertained you after the jump.
Brazil had one of it’s more exciting finishes to a season. We told you about the relegation melee, but we failed to mention that Flamengo won the title and thieves made off with $6M. It’s a pretty great story (insert Liverpool joke here). For Hollywood producers, here’s the pitch: It’s a reverse ‘Shawshank’ where ‘Victory’ meets ‘Sexy Beast.’
Also, there was the story of a UniBond Premier Division team that fielded an ineligible player, and played him under an assumed name. Durham City used one Josh Home-Jackson, who had been handed a three-match ban, in games at Bradford and at King’s Lynn. Durham lost those two games 7-1 and 11-0. So, clearly he was a difference maker.
We promise not to blog about what we didn’t blog about too often less our ontology collapses on itself but both of these stories (and the second one in particular) were too good not to pass along.

Hey this is a great idea…. Speaking of which, I’d like to take this opportunity to say that I would’ve finished blogging the FA Cup of British Rock last year had it not been for the fact that I ran out of motivation and/or time.
We should also totally do a round up of all the great ideas we had for multiple post features over the summer that we never got around to.
That would surely end up being our longest post evah. I can think of about a dozen right off the top of my head.
I’ve got about six…
whatever happened to the Power Poll?
i actually have one thing i promised to do half written.
Sometime after the New Year, I resolve to do the Karma Table.
