The USMNT has announced a scheduled friendly with the Netherlands on March 3 in Amsterdam. The US is already scheduled to play Honduras in January and is trying to schedule a match with Mexico in February. The match against the Dutch is on one of the few dates FIFA requires clubs to release its players this spring and being in Europe will shorten the travel for European based players.
Do we have a contract with Mexico to play them at least once per year, or is scheduling them just the path of least resistance?
