And the hits keep coming. UEFA have today said that Liverpool will not be seeded in the draw for the knockout stages of the Europa Cup. The draw, which takes place tomorrow, will feature 16 seeds made up from the group winners and the best 4 3rd placed teams joining from the Champions League.
The 4 Europa seeds who failed to progress in the CL will be Juventus, Marseille, Wolfsburg and Unirea Urziceni. Seeded teams have the advantage of playing the second leg of the first knock out stage at home.
