There were some more details released today pertaining to the car crash which killed a woman and injured Soccer Player Charles Davies. The Washington Post’s Crime Beat have received more details from the US Park Police (who are responsible for policing the GW Parkway) as they file court documents in the case.
The obvious details we do know (that are confirmed) are that the female driver had consumed alcohol earlier in the evening, and was probably speeding at the time of the crash. If you don’t know the GW Parkway in our Nation’s Capital, it’s a wonderful road to drive but it has a 40 mph speed limit, which is rarely followed. It’s a fun road to drive fast on – as this writer has in the past, hitting triple digit speeds on many a late summer evening.
The bit of new information released is that the driver was “adjusting her GPS device” right before losing control of the car and crashing. Great thing to be doing drunk and driving fast.

1 of the 3 speeding tickets I’ve rec’d in my life occurred on the GW Parkway. I’m just saying.
Wow…3 G&T’s, and I can’t even spell my name right.
