Manchester United stopper Edwin van der sar has been granted permanent compassionate leave to be by the side of his seriously ill wife in Holland.
Annemarie van Kesteren (36) suffered a brain hemorrhage on December 23rd. Van der sar is currently out with a knee injury but United have told him to take as much time as he needs before returning to the club.
