Out-of-favor (i.e., ancient) Italian defender Marco Materazzi won’t be attending this year’s World Cup. And, as he sniffed to the Italian press, he won’t be watching it on television either. So where will Materazzi be?
“I know where I’ll be on June 11, the first game of the World Cup — in my motor home travelling around America. I won’t watch the tournament, the timings won’t work out.”
Yes, why watch the World Cup when you can bask the splendor that is the American highway system and national parks? Well played, Marco!

It’ll be the best bus tour since Sarah Palin’s!
No TV’s showing the football in this backwards country. Italians, pah!
Who knew Marco watched PBS?

Besides, you cant compare the WC to the joys and wonders or seeing Idaho, Iowa, Nebraska, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgian, Mississipippi, etc.
Man, wait till they get to South Dakota and Wisconsin!
I dont think italians have cheeses like they do there… Whoweee!!
One free UF t-shirt to anyone who gets a picture of themselves with Marco on his grand vaca in the USA!
