I try to stay away from this site, I really do, but I thought you all would enjoy a look at one man’s list of the 10 most overrated English players [Bleacher Report]

Dear Bleacher report, please learn more about football before compiling lists made up of only players you have heard of.
Wes Brown cost Man U nothing and was their most used player 2 seasons ago with 48 starts in a season that brought the Champions League trophy and the Premier League title. Highly over rated indeed.
Michael Owen? While he has been hit with a few injuries, throughout his career he has a goal scoring record at 3 of the top clubs in Europe thats exceptional. 1 goal every 1.8 games.
No one ever rated Phil Neville.
Emile Heskey is an absolutely superb holding forward who is still a first choice forward for his country. Hardly over rated. He gains praise for his effort and support play.
Darren Bent, Owen Hargreaves and Alan Smith are indeed over rated.
I’m intrigued by the Beckham-at-right-back idea. I think he might have just enough desire and football knowledge to pull it off. When the galaxy played the rapids in 2008 (first game of the season) he dropped back to right back/central defender just to get a touch on the ball. His forty-fifty yard balls were better than anything else the team produced. As a lover of the game, it was awesome to watch him pick out players and just lay it on their foot from that distance.
@Whiz, I was too. Trying to figure out what’s better… Beckham moving towards the half way line and pinging crosses and long passes over, adding an extra man, or Beckham trying to defend. To Becks’ advantage, Oddo was rubbish so not hard to match his shoddy work. But we will both be disappointed, Leonardo said today that Becks won’t be playing there.
Holy s**t that white LFC kit is gorgeous.
Wait how did that Beckham article leave out Milner when talking about potential right backs? He has actually played there for them. Stupid.
