Today we head to Liverpool, and a little good news for Reds fans in a week to forget. Not only did Rafa’s men lose at home to Reading of the Coca-Cola Championship in the FA Cup, they lost 3 of their best players to injury. Then to make matters worse, today Ryan Babel decides to tweet his displeasure at being left out of the team for the trip to Stoke tomorrow.
So what can possibly cheer-up the folks who spend their time on the red side of Stanley Park?
Maxi will be wearing the number 17 shirt and could make his debut tomorrow at the Britannia stadium.

another mediocre signing
No free signings are mediocre signings.
Agreed Georger, we needed some fresh blood and energy. At the very least it gives us that for a while.
Orr, you know you just doomed him to get injured within 3 minutes of the opening whistle over the weekend.
More likely would be hurt in training, never sees a game.
Given the interview earlier today, it’s nice that he seems to have a realistic view of the task ahead of him. It was also mildly hilarious to see Rafa taking the mickey out of himself with his “more facts” comments.
