Michael Essien seems to have crocked his knee real bad (went down without being touched, never a good sign), and now word from Fulham manager Roy Hodgson that Clint Dempsey has suffered “cruciate ligament damage.” Hopefully the doctor has a more appealing prognosis than the gaffer, who spoke after his side’s loss at Blackburn.
In case you forgot: The questionable/doubtful list for the USMNT for South Africa swells now to Onyewu (knee), Davies (arms, legs, etc.), Dempsey (knee), and probably Donovan soon, and someone else I’m surely forgetting…
It is ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE the injury curse we have suddenly been saddled with.
