Nothing like senseless Blackburn-on-Blackburn Violence.

Just another day in Stoke it seems.

I don’t think many expect a Stoke/Blackburn match to be the bastion of rough and tumble fan aggression. But it seems like an unsuspecting Rover fan didn’t either, and came out on the wrong side of the event. The department of the obvious, The Sun, entered up this succinct quote:

One Rovers fan said Sunday: “Some of them had been drinking.”

Really, you don’t say. What happened?

The fan, later named as John Steven Taylor, was pronounced dead Sunday after being admitted to the hospital.

The crazy part of this story (as if death is not crazy) is that the tosser of the trash can was a Preston man who also is a Blackburn supporter. This is not a case of a Stoke fan (or fans) mixing up with traveling fans and delivering a beat down. Why should they? Stoke did their beating on the pitch, easily dispatching the Rovers 3-0.

The Police are looking for any video evidence to shed light on this event. I don’t know if they will find any, but it will only go to reinforce the theory that stupid people do stupid things, and stupidity crosses all ethnic, political, racial, and religious lines in society.

Rattan is very underrated as a lethal projectile.

I was hoping you’d ignore this. I personally blame BFS – more than 1 year of his s**te football, and people start to get edgy…

That said, I hope the suspect burns in Hell. And I’d say the same if the victim was a Dingle. NO PLACE for this s**t, EVER…
