Manchester United have withdrawn their appeal over Rio Ferdinand’s rogue elbow on Craig Fagan 2 weeks ago.
Ferdinand initailly received a four game ban, 3 for the offence and one for what the FA called a ‘frivilous’ appeal. United appealed the appeal–but have now decided to take their medicine, as receiving another match ban for frivolity would mean that Rio would miss the Carling Cup final later this month.
