Fab-ulous Apology

I'm just plane sorry!

Arsenal skipper, Cesc Fabregas won some brownie points with supporters after Wednesday’s debacle in Porto; the Spanish midfielder apologized to a plane full of Gooners by using the PA system

“I want to apologise for losing the game”

Of course his announcement was met with rounds of applause as Arsenal shared a flight home with some supporters late on Wednesday.

It’s nice when footballers show they actually give a toss about the fans isn’t it? I was once phoned by Norwich manager Bryan Gunn (while I was in a curry house) so he could apologize for losing after I’d flown over from the states– to watch what can only be described as an ’utter s**te’ performance against an average Coventry City. Just goes to show, not everyone in football has their head up their arse-nal.

Was the plan experiencing turbulence at the time? Maybe he thought it was going to end, and wanted to make amends.

The Norfolk manager phoned you to apologize for losing a match? You have much more power than your blogger credentials suggest. Impressive.

    @Ben,

It was awesome, yes. I nearly choked on an onion baji!

He took a hint from MON’s playbook.

  5. Sarah

Lately he’s looked like the only player on the team that cares.

Thank you, EF. Now that I know we’re being watched, I’m restraining myself to one Villa joke per non-matchday.

“Now take this plane to Barcelona!”

  8. Barry

“Attention ladies and gentleman, this flight will be making a brief stop in Barcelona to drop off some precious cargo, we apologise for any inconveniences this may cause”.

  9. James T

    Keith, we’re not watching you.

  10. Georger

But I am. We’ve got two man teams in the bushes outside your home.

  11. Are they working in shifts?

  12. Georger

Yeah they’re working on some leads.
