i’m bored by this match so far.

  2. agreed – our B side makes baby Jesus cry

  3. although this GK for El Salvador has made 3 very good saves

  4. Precious Roy

And our b-team is going to lose its second in a row. On home soil. To a CONCACAF team… Way to go Bob.

US looks like a rec team that has never played together before. Eddie Gaven is the only bright spot so far.

  6. yup. down 1-0 to El Salvador, the USBT has lost me to my alma mater as college basketball calls my name

  7. spectator

My excuse for still watching is that I should’ve left for the laundromat by now. Gaven earns another freekick. Good footwork and workrate from him.

  8. spectator

Oh Eddie, you f**ked up there… Last man in the box and he passes back to the opposition.

1-1, Brian Ching header off an excellent cross from Pearce on the wing. Laughable marking, easy finish.

  10. Precious Roy

    Cha-Ching!

  11. spectator

Brian Ching = the US’s Emile Heskey

  12. spectator

Dear lord, what the f**k was that Robbie Rogers?

  13. Precious Roy

I;m not sure if this is a one off, but the Salvadoran keeper has been better tonight than anyone for Arsenal all season.

  14. Highbury Library

Hi, my name is Robbie Rogers and I am a terrible footballer.

  15. spectator

If Rogers makes the squad for SA, I will be very sad. Ching can come though. You can always use an experienced striker who’s good at poaching goals and scoring headers.

  16. @Roy – the Salvadoran GK has been wonderful. I would rather him over Almunia or Flappyhandski if this is his consistent form

Also, Brian Ching’s goal just pushed Conor Casey off the plane for SA

  17. Precious Roy

How the f**k did he miss that?

  18. Precious Roy

Oh, defender got a touch… Anyway, NYK: Have to temper that with the knowledge that this USMNT is suckishly awful.

  19. bergkampesdios

What channel is the game on? All I have is Canada using Russia as toilet paper right now.

  20. Highbury Library

    What the f**k? Klestjan?!

  21. Precious Roy

If El Salvador cares about football, that midfielder is losing his life when he gets back home. Terrible job with the ball on that takeaway.

  22. it’s on ESPN Classic, but it’s 2 seconds away from being over.

Sascha Kljestan just scored to put the US up 2-1.

  23. wacman1389

This game still on? My film class got out early, yay for me:)

I’m intrigued to see if the keeper is actually better than Flappyhandski

  24. wacman1389

Ah, lame, better luck next time

  25. Highbury Library

Wac, it’s in stoppage time but trust us, this keeper was infinitely better than the Arsenal lot.

  26. bergkampesdios

    NYK – thanks anyway.

  27. Precious Roy

Thank God… a home draw would have been embarrassing.

  28. Ryan

I watched the first twenty minutes, then had other things to take care of. I gather that Ching might’ve played himself into a WC spot?

  29. Precious Roy

The fact that it might come down to Ching or Casey tells you how stupid Bradley is. Ching isn’t a liability and sometimes does good things.

  30. Keith

HL, you guys could probably use the guy Palace had in today- Speroni. He’d be a better Italian keeper to have than Vito, that’s for sure.

  31. Orr

Speroni is actually Aregntine. But indeed quite good I agree Keith, could be playing for a few teams in the top flight.

  32. Orr

    You know, from Aregntina?

  33. Ryan

You could do worse than Ching I guess for an experienced forward. My worry with having Ching in the team though is that Bradley might do something silly like not start Altidore.

  34. Ryan

Wahl tweeted that the A roster for the Netherlands will be revealed tomorrow. Hope Bob takes some chances on guys like Williams, maybe gives Torres a start.

Too bad Jermaine Jones is still out injured… Looks like that ship is sailing.
