We’re trying out some new writers here and there, trying to break them in gently. Welcome to The Stretford End, who is a Man U fan (I know, I know, I just broke the golden rule), but he’s gonna get a trial so play nicely.
Crazy things happen when you click over to ESPN.com (like I did at 1:45 a.m. PST).
To wit, the Worldwide Leader’s home page has a nice spread with Torres, Rooney and C-Ron to pimp its rankings of the Top 50 players in the World Cup this summer. Not a horrible list. I mean, how tough is it to choose Messi, Ronaldo and Rooney as your top 3 players? However, the oddities start with Essien at No. 10, Samuel Eto’o at No. 13 and Robin Van Persie (he’s still alive?) at No. 25. John Terry is at No. 37 — his dong is at No. 69. And Landycakes gets the home-listing advantage at No. 50 (no Timmay!) These lists aren’t very enlightening, but they’re fun to look at. Kind of like Cheryl Cole in body paint. Debate away!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
/stopped reading after “is a Man U fan”
Drogba, Iniesta, and Torres should be ahead of Xavi and Kaka.
Six Spaniards in the top 16=Spain s**tting the bed.
better than castrol ratings?
@Georger Drogba is only ahead of Kaka in the diving rankings.
C-Ron would run away with the Castrol ratings. Because that’s what he puts in his hair, you see.
Are we talking for club or country? Torres is no where near as good with Spain as he is with Pool since both he and Villa play the same position.
If it’s for country, then Gerrard and Fabregas are too high on the list.
@Goat: Thanks for the welcome. I expect nothing less from this crew. At least I didn’t gripe that Ji-Sung Park isn’t on the list or something like that.
@The Stretford End: No problem. It’s about time UF got some Korean writers. Oh, you mean because he plays for ManU? BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
@TSE
Park has been a big player for your lot recently.
no s**t…I know it was meant as a joke, but Park has been pretty influential. As someone who pays zero attention to Man Utd news, I find Park to be undervalued by the greater media. tireless work rate, can play a multitude of positions, does anything you ask and is always up to score a goal. He’s like Benayoun for me..no one puts him as a world beater, but when I see him on the team sheet or coming on as a sub, I know he’s going to produce something
How does one get a trial? Ya’ll could use some Italy/Serie A flavor around here…
@whizalen – I prefer to see Park in his natural position, the locker room celebration.
@The Stretford End – A ManUre fan and on the west coast? Your ideas interest me and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.
@Ned: I agree wholeheartedly. And really, every USMNT owes Park a beer or six for getting the Yanks into the knockout round in 2002.
He’s the kind of player you might forget about for weeks, but when he’s on the field, you can’t lose sight of him or he’ll make you pay.
@Orr: Blow jobs. Plain and simple.
Park Ji-Sung, Korea’s Dirk Kuyt.
Done. I draw the line at wearing a Chelsea or Inter jersey while said fellatio is performed though.
@Orr
That’s AutoGlasses specialty.
Don’t tell me he’s an Inter fan too?
I like how landy is last on the list so nobody can say there is no way landy is better than _______ (insert any of the other 735 players going to S.A…and yes that includes goal keepers) anyway- where are these pics of cheryl in body paint???
@Orr No, Chelsea.
@Ronaldo: Cheryl Cole was just a wish (I can send you my doodle pad). To make up for this, here’s Abbey Clancy in body paint:

My blowjob signal went off, what’s up?
There’s a line forming Georger. I have very pretty lips.
