UF Quick Throw: Taxi For Pienaar.

Everton and South Africa midfielder, Steven Pienaar has been banned from driving for a year after being caught drink-driving.

Pienaar was pulled over by the cops on the 21st of February after celebrating his sides 3-1 win over Manchester United.

Now Pienaar will have to take taxis everywhere instead of just home after a night out. Why rich footballers risk the lives of others instead of calling a cab, which they can easily afford, continues to baffle me. Pienaar is the latest in a long list of footballers busted for such an offence. Idiots.

    Why do limeys call it, “drink-driving?”

  • ebullientfatalist says:

    The same reason they call it “sex-assault,” which is all kinds of awesome wants you get past the rapey bits.

    @ebullient

    Sexual assault!

    @Lucius, why do you call it ’soccer’ :)

  • Lucius says:

    Probably because we’re right.

    Ya’ll invented the term anyway.

  • ebullientfatalist says:

    Wow. I just noticed I wanted to say “once” and then wrote “wants.” Wow.

    If you’re going to make fun of an alma mater, I’d prefer you go after my FSU degree, thankyouverymuch.
