Open Thread: Liverpool v. Portsmouth

Quick! Throw Avram to Pompey

The Red half of Mersey host the in-the-red Portsmouth club now owned by the taxman. Liverpool already showed its ineptitude against Pompey this season losing 2-0 in December. Maybe, perhaps, possibly, perchance Liverpool can reverse the course of its already dismal season against this beleaguered relegation bound side.

There are discussions of new investment in the club, which isn’t necessarily new or novel, but this time there is a name attached to the discussions and it is not a Middle East oil sheik–it is a mid-level investment fund out of New York. Hopefully the players can help H&G out by getting a victory to up the price.

Anyway, play in the comments below.

hmm… maybe we shouldn’t sell Babel. He’s been improving slowly but surely.

Too bad Pepe can’t play in midfield.

(even though he has in preseason for us before)

  4. come on guys…not selling babel, this is just crazy Pompey induced talk.

This keeper is going to need the help of their shirt sponsor soon I think.

Wellll we probably should have had one penalty or more in this game, but whatever at this point. Johnson is great at that though, he adds such a different dimension.
