Six out of ten French folk say that it’s now unacceptable for Bayern Munich winger, Franck Ribery to go to the World Cup with France; after the revelations that he and his team mates bedded an underage prostitute.
Ribery, who is alleged to have slept with the girl when she was just 17, is said to have paid, Zahia Dehar $3000 a time for romps and even attended her 18th birthday party recently. @Goat – I’m a Renaissance man! Essentially, the deal is this: prostitution is legal, but you cannot engage in even “passive solicitation”. What that means is that it is against the law for a scantily-clad woman to loiter in a place known for prostitution – this is why the police spent years and years raiding the Bois de Boulogne in Paris.
Pandering (i.e. being a P.I.M.P) is also illegal. The government, as a whole, would like to completely eradicate prostitution, but they refuse to outlaw it entirely because of a concern for the rights of an individual to act in their own interests.
