For one American, the tick of the clock becomes just a little more ominous with every passing second to June 11.
Charlie Davies was on the cover of the New York Times yesterday afternoon. Bradley has said he has to be match fit in order to be invited to camp. His coach at Sochaux has said he won’t play before the end of the season.
Would be a shame if his near miraculous recovery ran out of time.
Read the piece here, and a Q&A here. Also find out how Davies and that prick from Chelsea are now BFFs (sort of).

I hate Ashley Cole. That is all.
I think the guy quoted at the end of the article is Sochaux’s president, not their coach. Ives tweeted yesterday that Charlie is still aiming to come back for one of the last 3 games.
Does anyone know when the preliminary 30 man squad gets released? I thought I had seen May 1st somewhere, but there was some confusion over that.
@Ryan: Looks like May 11 is the deadline for the 30-man roster, but Bradley has a habit of announcing early.

If Davies is close it would be stupid of Bradley to leave him out if only for inspirational reasons. Davies on the bench is worth more to me than Casey on the pitch.
I’d rather have Davies play in whatever shape he’s in now than Casey. Provided, of course, that it wouldn’t cause long-term injury.
Edson Buddle> a 75% Davies or Casey in the best shape of his life
Herculez Gomez >>> Edson Buddle
it would be stupid of Bradley
When has that ever stopped Bobby Tracksuit before?
