Sometimes the world we live in both surprises and confuses us.

This is one of those times.

When we came across this link of an ebay auction for Aston Villa pants, we thought it mildly amusing that you could purchase pants worn by Villa players. Then we realized that these weren’t pants like trousers but ‘pants’ like the English sometimes call them.

Someone was selling Villa underwear. Used. On the Internet. This world is indescribably weird.

The link takes you to a redirect as the auction is over. If you use your “back” button and stop it on the page reload you might be able to stop it on the original page. If you can’t be bothered, then we’ve got a full screengrab here.

Enlarge the pic, sure enough, that’s a bunch of tighty whities. Customized with the player initials to boot.

We can’t begin to wrap our heads around how strange this is. As much as I have an irrational attachment to teams I support, I don’t want to see (much less own) the skidmarked wares of the players (or the coaching staff as seems to be the case here… sorry weirdos, no “MO” in the laundry).

The only way this gets weirder is when we find out that Keith was the winning bidder. But yeah, Villa underpants. We give up.
