Adidas, why? You gave us this nasty, moob-ed effort for last year’s MLS All-Star Game
why would you subject up to an even worse shirt this time around? Do you just not care as a company? I don’t get it.
For those that have not seen it, this is what our MLS All-Stars are wearing later tonight (in cartoon form, because no actual pics exist online yet)
I get the nod to the hosting team’s colors with the blue and orange, but this is horrible execution. It’s all made worse by what appears will be mesh underneath the arms and heavy orange stitching everywhere.
Said stitching I can actually confirm, because this is the training jersey being sold online at mlsgear.com. While that is undoubtedly a heavier shirt, almost akin to a sweatshirt by the looks of it, that heavy stitching persists. And as a bonus, this shirt features orange mesh at the sleeves.
I do have to say, however, that I enjoy this badge with it’s nod to the area’s role in the American space program. Unfortunately, MLS has seen another chance to make money even here and has sold ad space to AT&T. Which kind of makes the whole graphic look like Luke Skywalker escaping to the other side of Yavin 4 right before the Death Star explodes. So there’s that, Star Wars fans.
So prepare your eyes for the horror to come tonight, and be prepared tomorrow for questions from newly-interested (World Cup! Man U! WOOOO!) co-workers as to why the MLS had to wear such ugly uniforms. Just tell them it was adidas’ fault. Hopefully that will explain all.

Ugh, I know like two things about design, but one of them is that you shouldn’t mix colors that are on the opposite side of the color wheel. For example, orange and blue. (The other thing I know is don’t wear black shoes with a brown belt and vice versa.)
@Spectator – the first is totally debatable depending on the intended usage. The second is a sure thing. Remember that and it will take you far.
I proudly wear black shoes with brown pants. Suck it.
.
Also, will there be nipple rings and ass chaps with that mesh?
@Anonsters
That explains so much
