Rabotnicki Racism

"I've scored a brace! Happy days, Lucas! Now, can you get the bus warmed up?"

Last night’s Europa League qualifier between Rabotnicki and Liverpool was notable simply because the maligned, understrength Reds squad didn’t succumb to the draw or defeat that some pessimistic fans might have expected.

After all, it’s been a difficult summer full of transition, speculation, and change; what may have been considered tough under normal circumstances became even more difficult.

Macedonian fans tried their hardest to unsettle the team further: not only did they boo Greek center-back Sotirios Kyrgiakos into submission, but they laid on the monkey noises for Liverpool’s David Ngog and David Amoo, both of whom impressed despite the torment.

Said a UEFA spokesman: “We are aware of the matter but we are waiting for the reports from the delegate and the referee.”

They should be aware; when England played Macedonia back in 2003, a similar greeting was extended to Emile Heskey, Sol Campbell, and Ashley Cole. Disciplinary action could follow if UEFA gets confirmation of the allegations, though surely Rabotnicki fans don’t do this kind of thing, do they?

Palsy? Tourettes?

Oh.

But Ngog and Amoo look nothing like that.

Leave the fan alone – he is clearly just mocking Ngog’s hug/s**t-eating grin.

    /doesn’t support racism

Perhaps that photos shows a fan in the midst of performing a traditional war dance, such as “The Rabot”?

And why do all Macedonians have the same type noses in that photo? I’m having trouble telling them apart./lame attempt at reverse racism
