The Sweetest Free Kick You May Have Missed

When you think “beauty”, the image of Wolverhampton Wanderers doesn’t immediately come to mind, but I must give kudos to David Jones for his classy, clever set piece against Stoke City on Saturday.

I also give him kudos because his opener set the stage for a 2-1 Wolves win, and there’s nothing more I enjoy than seeing Tony Pulis looking all sad and depressed like he just dropped his ice cream in the street.

To the tape!

Creative, and great finish. I give it a 9.5.

  2. Well that makes getting the ball up and down a lot easier, doesn’t it?

    Class, class, class. Well done.

  4. I wonder how many times that actually worked on the training ground.

Great free kick – I was going to point you towards the carbon copy effort from the legendary Matt le Tissier against Wimbledon, but when searching for a vid on Youtube I found this even more spectacular effort:

Found on thisislondon.com, apparently Ukranian league…
