He’s gone from the French NT, but not forgotten. We just wanted to remind you that a) he was the French manager from 2004-2010 and b) quite a few folks in France are still mad at him. To butcher a quote from a divisive, weird movie, he may be through with the past, but the past isn’t through with him. If anything, the past got angrier when those pursuers realized that the building he was ducking into (we think) was FFF property, and we’re pretty sure he was there to put the signatures on his exit contract and a cool €2m buyout.
Also worth noting: the NY Kid is not one of the people chasing the swift-heeled ex-boss, who displays impressive pace. He even looks faster than Jeremy Toulalan.
I have a feeling NYK would catch him. If only because ten thousand horses pulling NYK in the opposite direction couldn’t stop him from wringing Ray-Ray’s neck.
