Nigeria have been booted by FIFA because of government interference with that country’s FA. BBC reports that the decision was made “after several members of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) were hauled before the law courts.” Of course, that’s a violation of FIFA’s rules for its member countries.
It’s an interesting rule that FIFA has. It basically says “any country that thinks it has a corrupt official or officials in its FA and seeks to ferret them out will be dropped at a moment’s notice”. Not that I’m telling you anything new, just retelling so we don’t forget how corrupt Blatter’s tax evading organization is.
Anyway, carry on. Nigeria will apologize and be back in the fold by next Saturday when they are to play at Guinea in a African Cup of Nations qualifier.

You know what else FIFA can toss? My salad.
@Anonsters: Can they ever!
