Skoro apparently likes Querétaro.
This is from Saturday’s Mexican Apertura match between Querétaro and Pumas de UNAM, so you may have already seen it if you hang out on the Spanish channels late at night to get your footy fix on the weekend.
So what, it’s worth seeing again.
Let me set the stage: Querétaro had a 1-0 lead at the half thanks to a goal by Sergio Blanco in the 24th minute of play. In the second half, Raul Mendoza saw red, leaving the White Roosters with ten men. Pumas took advantage, and Javier Granados tied the match up with a minute left. In the 90th minute, referee Armando Archundia showed Daniel Valdez the red card as well, leaving Querétaro with nine men.
In the 94th minute, the White Roosters have this wild play, where five consecutive headers in the box set up Alen Skoro’s beautiful chilena FTW. Crowd (and the announcer) goes wild. Skoro also happens to be the first Bosnian player to ever score a goal in Mexican soccer. Good for him.

watched the entire game; those last 15 mins were insane. good on Queretaro for pulling this one off. for some reason, i’m sympathetic towards them and hope they stay in the top flight..
side note: if Pumas are sponsored by Puma, then los Gallos Blancos should be outfitted with Le Coq Sportif. gotta have some consistency, now.
There wasn’t one header on goal or away from goal
@Clem – sometimes it’s just more effective to head the ball straight up into the air
/no it isn’t
QUEEEE GOLAAAZZZOOOOOOO.
