Why It’s Fun To Be A Citeh Fan

Because sometimes, you get glorious juxtapositions like this plastered across the web sites of respected news outlets.

Two themes. Only one can be the Highlander

Every day is lived on the knife’s edge, teetering between complete dominance and complete capitulation. It’s sunny, or it’s raining. Never overcast.

In short, the team’s getting stronger, but Emmanuel Adebayor’s trying harder to drive a wedge between that unity than he does on the pitch every other weekend by saying he’s on his way out. Though, if we’re honest, he’s not exactly vital to Sheikh Mansour’s mission, is he?

Every 30 minutes, the narrative changes. Or maybe their online editor’s a little bit slack with keeping these stories arranged… would that be on Sean Ingle, or is there someone else holding the keys to the web?

Either way, I’ll keep reading.

  1. It seems that money, indeed, cannot buy love.

  2. @phil: That’s not what my hooker told me last night.

I’m just wondering why Ade would want to go to Juve. Has he had time to talk to Balotelli about playing in Italy?

  4. Has Eto’o had racism issues in the Fatherland?

  5. I just singled out Eto’o, but there are lots of black players in Italy. Just wondering if this is a universal phenomenon, or if people are targeting Balotelli for special abuse, or what.

  6. I guess it would’ve made more sense to ask these questions on Orr’s post. Oops. I blame OM.

  7. Outside Mid

@ Anon: I accept the blame and listed Mario b/c he’s Ade’s sometimes teammate and just got booed by his own fans in Romania. Don’t know about Eto’o, but doesn’t he give out Rolex watches to everybody to buy them off?

  8. Ryan

Or perhaps City are growing stronger as a team because Adebayor is leaving?

  9. Outside Mid

@ Ryan: Realistically, how many guys could go in January? Ade, Given, Johnson? I’m assuming they will hold onto SWP will all they’ve got.

I think Given, Bridge, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Adebayor, and Santa Cruz will all be available. Might be tough finding a buyer for all of them though.
Also, the Ade to Juve thing runs into the hitch of him being non-EU right? Or at least a story I read this morning said it did.

Why does Neymar want to go to Juventus? He has offers from everyone. But he wants to go to Juve. It’s confusing.
