What a Fox

The London Underground?

Somehow we missed this most vital piece of information that emerged from the North London Derby.

ZOMG! Matthew Fox was at The Emirates!

It turns out that the former “Lost” (and “Party of Five”!) star will be living in London for the next several months as he does a turn in a play.

Given that the play – Neil LaBute’s “In A Forest, Dark and Deep” – is being staged at the Vaudeville Theatre in London’s West End, Fox has decided to put down roots in the Marylebone area.

What a dilemma! Will no one tell poor Dr. Jack Shepard if he should be a supporter of Spurs or Arsenal (at least until the end of the season)? I mean, other than the fact that he showed up at The Emirates rather than at White Hart Lane, he certainly didn’t see Arsenal’s best performance in that NLD.

He does seem to suggest that he is leaning towards the Gunners, which is a good thing. Just in case he hasn’t checked a map (and it appears he hasn’t), if you live in Marylebone, then The Emirates is actually in between your neighborhood and White Hart Lane. You would have to drive past the Arsenal grounds (alright, not precisely, if you’re taking the A10) to go up to Tottenham. Who in their right mind would do that sort of thing?

To be fair to the full geography and range of London clubs, however, Fox should really be a QPR or (heaven forbid) Chelsea supporter, since they are slightly closer to his temporary home than even Ashburton Grove.

I’m fairly certain that’s what Elizabeth Barrett Browning would have done.

@NYKid are those tears for joy for advancing to the knockout stages despite trying to eff it up or is there some other emotional event i should know about?

@Anon: 1) There’s this thing called TV that we have in America. Consider it. 2) That picture is fantastic.
    .
@austin: At the NLD, a certain unfancied team from White Hart Lane came in and dickstomped their obliging hosts in an epic second half comeback. They were tears of despair.

  9. austinlong1974

@LE oh those tears. why would you be crying even though you know the outcome?

  12. Sahko has been brilliant – it would suck if PSG lost him.
If they lost him to Spuds I would undoubtedly kill a hobo.

I’d recommend he support Leyton Orient.
