Merry Christmas, Rafa!

His legal team use man-to-man marking during every negotiation

In some ways, I feel bad for the man who hung on for dear life at Anfield despite an overwhelming sense that the sky was falling around him. He landed firmly on his feet with a nice gig at Inter, but inheriting the throne from the world’s most beloved boss was ultimately a foolish move. The war of words wrapped into a mess more confusing than Rashomon, and now, he’s back at his Liverpool home with his second severance package in just over six months, and a chance to start all over again.

I just hope he treats his lawyers to some time off, because they’re the real grafters in this situation. Where he sends his resume next is anyone’s guess—Blackburn, perhaps? Rumors were also swirling of Sevilla’s interest before he signed with Inter—but one thing’s for certain: whoever hires him should craft a meticulously-worded contract before getting his John Hancock. You know, just in case it all goes belly up. Again.

This paves the way for Orr’s nightmare scenario of Ancelotti to Inter.

I’m sure it’s an anti-rascism shirt or something, but for some reason it cracks me up that he’s wearing a sweater with “respect” in English on it while addressing the Italian media.

@Anonsters – A former Milan coach is being touted as the favorite to replace Rafa: Leonardo.

Mourinho gave an exclusive interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport, part 2 should be out today. He doesn’t hold back on Rafa, I hope to have a post up tomorrow with some of the tastiest morsels.

It’ll be nice for Balotelli to know someone when he moves over in the summer as well.
