For some reason, I couldn’t find a pic of a woman in a bikini with a snood. Go figure
It’s a nice weekend to stay inside and enjoy for football from many countries. Meanwhile, James T and his Camaro are somewhere in Amish Country. Maybe he’s just hiding from Liverpool’s horrible season.
Today is an opportunity for the chasers to move up on Manchester United (yes, it’s always about them). Can Chelsea win in Roque Santa Cruz’s return to Blackburn? Will Arsenal win against Barack Obama’s side? Will Dzeko play for Citeh against Wolves? It should be good.
Of course we all know it’s all prelude to Sunday’s Spurs-United clash. But that’s tomorrow. Until then, enjoy the matches, and as always, comment safely.

Mr. Peroncel brought Theo down in the box, making it a hat trick for Bridge as RVP converted
And it’s not EasyCredit Stadion. It’s Frankenstadion! Suck it EasyCredit!
“17 yr old lacks body weight, he needs time.” Apparently the commentator for Bundesliga matches hasn’t been to the southern US ever.
Pitroipa coming off; he’ll be enrolled in acting classes before the next match methinks. That or take his scuba certification.
And he’s injured??? ROFL
Wow, Hamburg blank Schalke 1-0. Poor showing by Raul and Huntelaar. Ruud runs the full 90 and scores the winner. Might he be off to Real Madrid again? Hmm
Commentators talking like Avram’s already gone.
@OM: He can join Adebayor.
@ Goat: He’s not? Thought he’s already off to the parlor with Big Sam.
@ Goat: And Klose as well; Real Madrid rumored to be interested in a couple odd choices for forwards.
@OM: I meant like he’s not even at the ground anymore.
Almost gotta root for Spuds tomorrow.
I mean I’ll obviously be rooting for the meteor first and foremost.
Well, Avram’s going to get only one happy ending today.
@Goat (from way earlier): Classes on Monday? Why does you school hate MLK Jr.?
–
But indeed, COME ON YOU SPURS tomorrow.
How did Bridge look today by the way?
Serie A time
@Ryan: My school also starts first semester on Labor Day–it hates black folks and the working class. Needless to say I’m not happy about it.
Geez, the internet consensus on Bridge seems to be one of the worst debuts in quite a while.
Oh, and a brace for Vladimir Weiss today as well.
Inter chomping at the bit here
Stankovic scores a goal, made by Eto’o
@Ryan, He had a hand in all three goals, Didn’t close down Walcott for the first, played RVP onside and then didn’t pick up Walcott on the second, and then fouled Walcott for the penalty…it was horrible. Oh, and then he got injured!
Milito doubles the lead, 2-0 Inter
@Wac, so there was a plus in his debut at the end then right
@wacman: Easily earning his 90k a week then?
2-0 at the break. Inter looking strong but Bologna not out, the next goal is huge.
Great goal, 3-0 to Inter, Eto’o finishes off Bologna
ROBIN HO!
4-0, Eto’o continues his brilliance with a great free kick
Oh, Eto……why did I think Robinho?
4-1, consolation from Jimenez
@Wacman – Haha yeah, you had me very confused for a second.
From the Guardian’s match report:
“If this indeed was the climax of Avram Grant’s long goodbye at West Ham United then it came and went without offering the Israeli even the hint of a happy ending. There was no surprise win over stellar opponents for him to savour, or even a uplifting performance from his own side to enjoy. Instead east London’s very own dead man walking has been forced to stride into the darkness of unemployment with only another defeat for company. He may well take relief from an end to the torture.”
Hee hee!
