While searching for FA Cup videos of Mario Balotelli offending Manchester United fans and being assaulted by Rio Ferdinand I found this video of fans parading around before (after?) the FA Cup match where a female Manchester City fan jacks the obese man from behind and is joined by others.
Stay classy, Citizens.

Isn’t this the epitome of handbags?
That quick edit right before she shoves him strips the clip of all context. For all we know, fatty over there kicked her husband right in the swingers and walked off.
I would say yes if she had swung her handbag.
@Andrew: You can watch the whole video by doubleclicking on it but there was nothing to do with the fat guy prior to that point.
@TFA: Right, I think Andrew is suggesting it may have been edited out.
@Ryan: Ah, I was thinking he was referring to my edit to start the video at that specific point.
Right, what Ryan said. I didn’t mean to say where you started the clip, just where whoever uploaded the clip decided to edit things might have left out some useful context.
@Andrew: I prefer to think it was unprovoked female aggression.
@TFA – Works for me.
Fatty looks mighty relieved he got popped in the back of the head so he didn’t have to square up with the lady (very loose use of the term).
People from Manchester are stupid, and ugly.
@ TNO: Resident Shoe Diva: desperately need to get new cleats and forgot your recommendations–looking for firm ground pair that won’t blow my budget.
@OM: As opposed a a blow and a firm pair on a budget.
@ TSE: Touche Mancky.
@OM: Personally, I’d recommend a pair of Copas. They’re good for any surface (I’ve even used them on field turf), and they last for fricking ever. I’ve had my pair for 11 years (played lacrosse in them for four) and they’re still going strong.
@OM: I also am a huge fan of Copas, but I also have a pair of Predators. Adidas fit my feet better, and Copas (properly cared for) do last forever.
@ Keith: adidas right? Been looking at switching brands as my current pair of Pumas are completely worn after only a short period of time–haven’t held up very well.
Okay, so that’s 2 votes for Copas, and I found them at a reasonable price. Sounds like a winner to me.
@OM – I have a pair of cheap-ass adidas. I can’t remember the model off the top of my head. I’ve used them for everything from soccer to rugby to softball. I’ve had them for at least 4 years, if not longer. So if you were to get a decent pair of Copas, I’d imagine that’d be a good choice.
@OM: Even at full price, it’s a bargain. Your Pumas sound like they lasted a year, maybe less, and were likely more than half the price of the Copas, which you’ll be able to wear for at least five years, even if you were undergoing a full professional club season.
Keith: Made them last 2 seasons but after Monday night’s game, I’ve resigned to chucking them. I’m taking the advice and going with Copas. And yes–think I paid about half the price of the Copas I’ve found on sale, but I’ve gotten what I paid for out of them and want something more long-lasting.
I was actually there outside of entrance F after the game. It was on the United side of Wembley. The Coaches carrying the City fans were all parked down below the stadium on the United side, so fans had to venture past the U fans. There was a gang of really drunk United fans being verbally abusive to passing city fans (women and children as well) but no one said much. Then an equally large group of equally drunk and belligerent City fans passed by and it got ugly. More than likely there were some words exchanged before the clip. The cops had that place on lock down though. Of the 86,000 plus fans there, only 34 or so arrests were made.
@Sam: you have any good pictures?
@The Fan’s Attic: Not of the chaos, but of the match. I can post them if your are interested.
