Your Men Behaving Badly Update

I just signed up for the Irish military.

With so much focus on women’s football around here lately, I decided we needed some gender equality. Of course, that simply means highlighting bad behavior on the part of men.

We all know that Ashley Cole is a cad of the highest order, just a terrible human being. After all, he does play for Chelsea. Now we find out that during the time he was attempting to reconcile with estranged wife Cheryl, it was business as usual for his activities on the side.

In addition to a lingerie model and a flight attendant, good ol’ Cashley also seduced a lieutenant in the Irish army.

Wait, what?

Collette McBarron (who could not possibly have a more stereotypically Irish name) is a former Miss Ireland contestant who also just happened to be serving her country. It’s not clear if she was in the army at the time of her dalliance with Cole, but I choose to believe that he was the reason for her once being court-martialled for having gone AWOL.

Aside from women, the other thing that gets footballers into trouble is alcohol, and that appears to be the case for Jimmy Bullard. The handsome Hull midfielder was told by the club to stay away from their training grounds for a fortnight amid allegations of misbehavior last week during a training camp in Slovenia.

Although the club have refused to comment on the reason for the suspension, some reports are claiming that Bullard showed up to a training session in a taxi straight from a long night out in no shape to do anything other than sleep it off. The 32 year-old was thought to have attracted interest from QPR, but these shenanigans may have scuppered that deal. With 2 years left on his contract, the club appear eager to unload Bullard, who has never quite met expectations.
