Oh, Copa Peru, how I’ve missed you. It seems like forever since I last reported on the craziest league cup in South America. I don’t know what it is about this cup that stirs up the violent rabble rouser in players and fans alike, but I do know that the referee usually gets the short end of the stick (often literally).
In this case, we have a clash between the Puero Eten Caimans (in green, of course) and Sport Buenos Aires (dressed up like Boca Juniors—there’s a racist joke there but I won’t tell it). One of the fake Boca players punches the ref (in white) right around the 9 second mark, for who knows what reason, to start the melee. The brawl between players forces the riot cops to step in, and everybody was kung fu fighting.
I have no idea what the final score was or any other relevant information about the match. It really doesn’t matter, does it?

Boca Jew-niors?
@MP: let’s just say the stereotype in Argentina is that Boca’s fanbase is made up largely of indigenous peoples from Peru, Bolivia, etc. So it’s a bit funny that a club from Peru would call itself Sport Buenos Aires and wear Boca kits.
Ah, that makes more sense.
