Today we get the rest of the Sippy Cup matches. No lesser league minnows today. It’s all Prem sides.
Liverpool catch a break in heading to Stoke as the Potters will likely want to rest some players to avoid fixture congestion with being in Europe and all. That’s a problem the Reds don’t have this year.
Chelsea at Everton might be the best match on the docket if only to see how many of the Blues can get themselves sent off at Goodison today. Also, plenty of dark skinned players at Everton for EBJT to get all racist up on.
There is also a nice-sized slate in both Italy (Napoli hosting current league leaders Udinese looks particularly yummy) and Spain. Most matches in the latter have already kicked (the marquee matchup of Villarreal at Madrid goes off at 4pm).
And for you UF xenophobes, there is MLS playoff action tonight with New Yawk headed to Dallas and Brel Shea [sic].

Wolves up 1. Ha ha, Citeh.
Liverpool with a pretty much full strength squad. Save for Gerrard who is not even on the bench.
Liverpool with a pretty much full strength squad. Save for Gerrard who is not even on the bench.
So, full-strength then?
Boo. 1-1… Citeh level.
3-1 City now. 3 goals in 4 minutes.
Jesus… it’s like the last 4 minutes at OT all over again.
Napoli with an absolutely gorgeous play off a set piece.
Levante get a 90th minute winner to stay on top of La Liga for a while longer.
4-1 now to City.
5. Another Dzeko tap in.
Heh. Immediately 5-2.
5-2 final. Goals overshadow a pretty terrible defensive performance from City. Get to do it all over v. Wolves again on Saturday.
Nice. A brace for Suarez and victory.
Looking forward to being able to say “17 years, No cups!”. Can’t believe I’m gonna say this but, c’mon FCD score some goals.
So under Hans Backe, Ream has gone to shit and Agudelo can’t get any time. Excellent.
Brek Shea currently has approximately the worst haircut ever.
Also, one of my co workers is a big United fan. I just kept holding up 6 fingers in his general direction all day. You’d have been proud Ryan.
This a HUGE crowd for playoff soccer!
WNF: I had a student in class Monday who wore a United t-shirt. I gave him a fair amount of shit. I’ll also probably fail him because fuck United fans.
Also, wasn’t this game supposed to start at 8? I’m not going to be able to stay up for the second half.

At least one UF Tradition has apparently remained: the bootroom/liveblog comment thread in a non-bootroom/liveblog post. Go Red Bulls! 1-0!
And this is a bootroom post. I is brillyuntz.
Ok, so I’m trying to figure out how Tony LaRussa can get on the phone to screw this up for Red Bulls and hand more playoff love to Texas.
Red Card! I blame Tony LaRussa.
No Dax McCarty if NY moves on? Can’t they just put his symbiote in a new host?
/Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’d
(BTW, I am still suitably embarrassed about my whole “haha this isn’t a bootroom, but it has bootroom comments in it!” tomfoolery above. Good lord. My game: I don’t got it (back), yet.)
“Somebody get the cart.”

So, is it ok that I was secretly hoping Henry would screw that up? Just for the NYKid lulz?
Yep, that’s definitely Anonsters.
Someone is pranking the shit out of us.
@MP: No, sir, no, sir, no, sir. That is vintage Anonsters comment spam. Served fresh daily. In copious quantities. (In other news, has anyone noticed how “quantities” ends in “tit(t)ies”? In bewbz, I say.)
(In other news, has anyone noticed how “quantities” ends in “tit(t)ies”? In bewbz, I say.)
It’s like you never left.
I am way to fucking excited at seeing Anonsters on here, if this is a prank it would be like cancelling Christmas
Brian – please tell me your “to” was purposeful.
@berg, of course it was.
