Sorry to hear you had a rough week TFA. May the weekend be filled with Hot Girls in Love.

  2. does anyone even get Fox Sports Deportes?

  3. Pradajames

Marveaux in for injured Gabriel Obertan. Likely to switch sides with Jonas and play on the left. Otherwise, unchanged. HWTL.

  4. Pradajames

Sammy Ameobi on the bench today…If Sammy scores, we’re on the pitch!

  5. I’m going to assume that Fellaini is suspended for hair-related reasons

  6. Orr

@NYK – That can’t be true, Drenthe is still out there

  7. Pradajames

NUFC fun fact: Yohan Cabaye’s grandmother was/is Vietnamese.

  8. Ryan

Was everyone directed to make their own poppy as part of some at-home art project? Don’t think I’ve seen two that look alike yet.

  9. OG has been loaned to Everton!

  10. Wacman

    Whaaaaat arrrreee you doing?

  11. Pradajames

OG! Cant imagine Howard wasnt screaming for that…but i’ll take it.

  12. Pradajames

Good to see Danny Simpson stepping up in the absence of Obertan on the wing. Marveaux tends to cut inside much more than Obertan and Simpson’s done well to fill in going forward.

  13. Wacman

Both teams squandering decent chances left and right…

  14. Pradajames

@Wac – That’s been our MO all season. Tons of pressure, eventually something will go in. LIKE THAT!!!! GET THE F IN!

  15. I’ll say this – the Magpies have been fun to watch

  16. What a goal!
    -
@NYK: I had FSC Deportes for a while until my cable company got stingy.

  17. Wacman

@Prada, Everton’s doing a bit too, but the pitch seems tilted to the right for now… Newcastle 2-0 seems more like a .75-0 to me, but I’m sure you’ll take it

  18. Pradajames

@Wac – As an NUFC supporter, I’m always waiting for the horribly tragic portion of the story to be written before my eyes. The monster is always lurking around the corner.

  19. Pradajames

FYI, Cabaye’s been carrying some knocks and has played just about every minute this season. Good to see Gosling get some run in and good on Pardew using the 2-0 advantage to provide that.

  20. Pradajames

Or Cabaye has groin AIDS and this is our denouement.

  21. I told Cabaye to stay away from Magic!

  22. oooooooooooooooh, Jack Rodwell

  23. Pradajames

    There it is…

  24. Pradajames

Pardew’s done really well this season with halftime adjustments. Here’s hoping he can pull something out of his hat to get a 3rd. Maybe Ben Arfa on for Best…

  25. Orr

Anybody pick up FIFA ’12 yet? I’m still putzing around with ’10

  26. Pradajames

@ ORR – got it for Xbox. Defending is TOTALLY different and takes getting used to. Really fun though.

  27. Ryan

I’m still on 11. Think I’m going to have wait ’til Christmas.

  28. Orr

Yikes, I stink at the defending anyways. Think I’ll wait for xmas as well.

  29. Pradajames

    Dirty F’ing Heitinga.

  30. Pradajames

@Orr – The main emphasis is on containment vs tackling…its a learning curve, but its def more realistic.

  31. Orr

@PJ – I’ll have to have my finger surgically removed from the slide tacke button

  32. Ryan

Yeah, I took a number of whoopings while playing the demo and trying to get the hang of it.

  33. Orr

That looked a definite shove on Ameobi

  34. Pradajames

    Woof, handball there…

  35. Pradajames

One for one, no pen on the Gosling handball no pen on the Sammy foul. Play on.

  36. Wacman

I played the demo was quite impressed, and then I scored a goal against Chelsea (with Arsenal) where Cech was waaaaaaaay out of position (like standing in front the post, and the ball was passed into the middle of the net). I put the game down and never looked back

  37. Pradajames

NUFC are such a different team w/o Cabaye and Tiote to boss the midfield.

  38. Pradajames

@TFA – Come on, Everton got that same foul on Jonas…not a card, though. Ben Arfa on @ 70 mins.

  39. didn’t see the Jonas foul but if the same still a disgrace.

  40. Pradajames

@TFA – Trailing leg caught the possessing player’s follow through…soft foul. Baines’ should have his yellow rescinded.

  41. everton has really bossed this second half. no goal though.

  42. Pradajames

Holding on for dear life now…

  43. Pradajames

    I have no fingernails left.

  44. Pradajames

    4 mins, boys…

  45. Pradajames

2nd. Keep on grinding em out…

  46. Orr

2nd half was a real slog, Everton wasteful. Good on Newcastle though.

  47. Wacman

I’m on fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiire. I loved this intro song…

  48. Wacman

High pressure from Arsenal is working quite well so far

  49. mightymightydr

A long night of whiskey sipping ensured I woke up for and then dozed through Toon-Toffees.

  50. Orr

Blackburn looking a competent side at the moment

  51. mightymightydr

Are we playing Kos-Verm at back?

  52. mightymightydr

When was the last time Toon was this high in the table this late in the season?

  53. Orr

    @MMDR – What’s your poison of choice?

  54. mightymightydr

Last night it was Bushmills, because I’m into S&M. But usually it’s either Ardbeg, Lagavulin, or Caol Ila. I lean towards Islays.

  55. mightymightydr

    Verminator!

  56. mightymightydr

Verm has shown in the past he likes to get forward and provide an extra attacker when we’re playing a domineering high-line. Must be something he was taught at Ajax.

  57. mightymightydr

WBA strategy is to let Arsenal dribble around and draw them out of defense shape then lay off a pass who’s moved into space. WOY FOR ENGLAND!

  58. Goat

I’ve got a weak stream (tee hee!) but when it pauses every 5 seconds it allows me to survey the whole field.

  59. mightymightydr

Bad sequence of play by Arsenal is surpassed (???) by a worse sequence of play from WBA.

  60. mightymightydr

@Goat: GunningHawk? They’ve provided some decent ones.

  61. Orr

@MMDR – Oh dear. Bad memories with Bushmills. I tend to be a bourbon man myself. Whiskey being essentially the only liquor I can drink. I’ve sworn off rum forever after college haha.

  62. Goat

    @Dre: What’s that?

  63. mightymightydr

@Goat: Links. GunningHawk has some decent links.
    -
This exchange just happened: “Still only 20 years of age, is Walcott. Isn’t he” “He’s 22 these days. Getting on a bit.” Perfection.

  64. Orr

    Fat Frank scores for Chelsea

  65. Orr

Oh should be level, wide open net, Cech prostrate, and they hit it right at him!

  66. Fucking can’t shoot straight gang for Liverpool.

  67. Orr

Blackburn deserved a point there from what I saw

  68. Ryan

Well deserved 1-0 lead for QPR.

  69. Ryan

Whew. Dzeko gets it to 1-1 near halftime.

  70. Orr

Youth movement working well for Roma today. Gago, Bojan, Osvaldo and Pjanic all involved in their goals.

  71. WhoNeedsForwards

Wait, I thought everyone got Fifa when it came out.
I’ve been getting own’d at 12 everytime I play online for like over a month now. Which is why I don’t play online much lol

  72. Arkie

The Qatari team (Al Sadd) that got in the ight with Suwon of the K-league Suwon won the AFC Champions league final last night. Defeating K-league champion Jeongbuk Hyundai Motors in a thrilling match which went to pennos. I’d post highlights if I wasn’t a 4th rate commentor
